The date for the House of Keys general election later this year has been confirmed.
Polling Day will be Thursday, September 29.
Elections are usually held on the third Thursday of the month, so it's a fortnight later than would normally be expected.
The date may have been put back because the Commonwealth Youth Games are being staged on the Island in the middle of September, although no explanation has been given.
The election date was announced by the Lieutenant Governor, following consultation with the Manx government.
Nomination Day, the date by which anyone who wants to stand for the Keys must declare their intention, is Tuesday, August 30.
The 2011 general election has been brought forward two months from the traditional November date, following lengthy discussions after the 2006 election on ways to encourage more people to vote.
