
Mark Higgins finished an unexpected second in the Trackrod Rally of Yorkshire, the penultimate round of the British Rally Championship.
He went into the final stage in third place, but Gwyndaf Evans, who had been second, lost three minutes and dropped down to fourth.
It was an unexpected bonus for the Manx drver, but the winner was Guy Wilks, his arch rival, who finished 50.3 seconds ahead.
David Higgins, Mark's brother, was third, a further two minutes 23.2 behind.
David Bogie and Manx co-driver Rob Fagg rlled out on special stage four.
