Mark Higgins' lap around the TT course in a Subaru rally car today (Monday) turned out to be a very convincing 'demonstration' of how to break Tony Pond's four-wheel record for the mountain course.
The Manxman completed a circuit at an average speed of 113.505 miles an hour, easily beating Pond's 1990 effort, when he clocked 102.
Radio TT's Charlie Lambert described Higgins' arrival back at the TT Grandstand:
TT 2027 race schedule announced
Rugby: Douglas to host newly-promoted Wilmslow in season opener
Football: Early premier league bottom two to meet this weekend
