High fives for leaders Ayre

Ayre United continued their fine start to the season with an emphatic 5-0 win at Braddan on Saturday.

A hat-trick from James Teare, as he continued his blistering start to the campaign, and two from Jason Craine sealed the points for the early leaders of CFS Division Two – all this after a goalless first half.

Marown also hit five away from home.

They won 5-2 at battling Ronaldsway, thanks to goals from Dan Jones, Mike Wheeler, Luke Wosser, Gary Thomas and an own goal.

The surprise of the day saw Malew win 3-2 at Colby in the southern derby.

Craig Howard, Steven Tidy and Dan Furwell were the goalgetters as Malew enjoyed a fine victory.

Marty Moore and Kyle Lunn found the net for Colby but it was Malew’s day with Danny Cowin their other hero as he saved a penalty.

Talented youngster Aaron Costain was the hero as Foxdale earned a 2-0 victory over Onchan.

He netted a goal in each half, the second from the penalty spot.

Pulrose displayed their character with a 5-3 win at Douglas Royal with Barry English, Stuart Dewhurst, Ben Cowin and Chris Cowin on target - Craig Dolman was among the Royal scorers.

Douglas and District secured a good point in a 2-2 home draw against the Police.
