Hockey: 2026 Isle of Man mixed season to begin this weekend

Opening ties of latest campaign to be held across the Island tomorrow (12 Sept)

The new Isle of Man mixed hockey season will get underway across the Isle of Man this weekend.

The first matches for the four senior leagues along with the mixed under-15's of the 2026 campaign are scheduled to be held throughout tomorrrow (12 September).

Among the opening salvos, defending Mixed Premier League champions, Bacchas A - who won the inaugural Tim Leeming Charity Shield last weekend - face Castletown Celts.

Elsewhere in the top flight, there's an inter-club derby in the west as Valkyrs A and Valkyrs B face off at QEII in Peel.

Meanwhile, the mixed season will also see the introduction of two new teams for 2026 with Valkyrs Mixed Colts and Ramsey Robins joining Mixed Division Three.
