Report by Ben Cunningham:

It’s Cup, Plate and Bowl semi-final weekend as well as some league fixtures taking place.

In the cup the first semi-final sees Castletown Celts play Vikings A, these two have met in the league already this season and it ended Vikings A wining 3-2 after Castletown were leading at half time so this could be a very close semi-final if the match goes the same way as the league match did. In the second semi-final Bacchas A play Ramsey A, Bacchas A are currently top of the table in the premier league and are scoring lots of goals in all their games, Ramsey A have not had the season they will have wanted but have got some points in the league and will be hoping they can give Bacchas A some challenges in this match.

In the plate, Harlequins A await the winner between Bacchas C and Castletown Southerners. Both these teams are in the same league and when they met in the league Bacchas C came out victorious so I’m sure Castletown will be hoping they can turn the result around and get one over Bacchas C this time out.

In the Bowl, top of division two, Castletown Cushags, play top of division three, Bacchas Colts, this game will be an end-to-end game. Both teams have been scoring lots of goals in the league and both teams remain undefeated in their leagues so this one I think might go to penalty flicks. The other semi-final is Ramsey Ravens against Valkyrs D, both these teams are in the same league and Ramsey came out with the win when they played each other Ramsey will definitely be looking to keep their good form up but Valkyrs D will definitely be pushing to get into finals day.

Elsewhere there are some league matches as well in Rossborough Mixed Division Two, Ramsey Rookies play Vikings E - last time out Vikings E came out 2-0 winners over Ramsey Rookies who will be looking to get one back on Vikings E this time out.

Finally the Rossborough mixed U15’s league returns this weekend following it’s break over half term and the island teams being away last weekend taking part in the EH championship. Castletown Sharks play Castletown Sabres, Vikings play Ramsey Rogues & Rascals and Bacchas play Harlequins.
