Tim Leeming Charity Shield hoping to bring together those connected with the sport
A new pre-season hockey tournament is hoping to bring together people connected with the sport throughout today (5 September).
The inaugural Tim Leeming Charity Shield Tournament will see 11 matches in a fast-paced format take place at the NSC in Douglas until around 5pm this evening.
With the 2026 mixed season on Island due to start next Saturday, the event is hoping to offer clubs important preparations ahead of the campaigns getting underway.
But both Paul Nuttall and Rachel Andrew of the Manx Hockey Association say the tournament wants to achieve a bit more than just that:
