All chosen for Northwest Talent Academy in tournament this weekend
Several Isle of Man hockey players will take part in a prestigious England Hockey tournament this weekend.
Six local competitors have been chosen to represent the Northwest Talent Academy in the 2025 Talent Academy Cup being held at Nottingham Hockey Centre from tomorrow until Sunday this week (25-27 July).
Ross Grimley, Doug Quayle, Cameron Roome and Liam Taverner will be involved in the boy's squad whilst Ela Blakemore and Evie Watterson will feature in the girls' tournament.
All of those players have been involved in an extensive training programme with the Northwest Talent Academy which began back in October 2024.
The Manx Hockey Association says all of the players and their families have shown 'tremendous dedication' to the setup, adding 'the tournament promises to showcase some of the finest young hockey talent from across these Isles'.
Results and fixtures this weekend can be found by accessing England Hockey's competition portal.
