
Work has started on the new Institute of Sport building at the National Sports Centre.
Manx contractor Cedar Developments will be responsible for the projext next to the Grandstand, with work expected to last for most of 2008.
The Institute is designed to help high performing athletes and the facility will include a strength and conditioning gymn, a lab for fitness testing, a consulting room for physiotherapy and medical treatment, video analysis and a sports education suite for seminars and coach education.
