The Isle of Man national side warmed up for their imminent National League Systems Cup first round tie with a 2-0 win over League of Wales outfit Prestatyn on Tuesday night.
On Saturday they face Midlands Combination, the side which knocked them out on penalties at the semi-final stage last season.
Edward Oldham suggested to manager Kevin Manning the Prestatyn outing was a good test for his side in the run-up to Saturday's fixture:
Hockey: Under-14 boys heading to England Championship final
TT 2026: 20-year-old to make debut this summer
Hockey: Under 16 girls beaten in England Championship Semi-Final
Rugby: Island ladies selected for UK side
