Athlete overwhelmed by turnout
Race walker Erika Kelly says she's 'completely overwhelmed' by the support she's received on the Gold Coast.
She battled intense heat in the 20km women's final this morning, ultimately finishing ninth.
But the 25-year-old is staying optimistic, and plans to resume training later in the week ahead of a busy season.
Erika, who is competing in the Commonwealth Games despite suffering from partial sight, says a large number of Manx supporters made the race - including her jubilant dad!
