Kelly wins Olympic Skeet Championship

Perfect conditions for two day event

Nigel Kelly emerged as the winner of the Isle of Man Olympic Skeet Championship held over last weekend at Meary Veg.

In near perfect weather conditions, the 1986 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games gold medallist won by three with a score of 117 out of 125 clays.

Second was James Bradley on 114 with Jeff Corkill third on 99.

Peter Kelly took the honours on Sunday afternoon in the sixth round of the ABT League.

At Blue Point, Steve Brew won the last of the Ayre Clay Target Club's Summer English Sporting League shoots with 39 out of 50.

The "B" class was won by Eddie Brew on 38 and Ted Davies claimed the "C" class with a score of 32.
