Another strong performance in the mountains at the Tour of Austria has allowed Peter Kennaugh to extend his lead in the general classification.
He finished today's sixth stage in third place, a couple of seconds behind Dayer Quintana.
Crucially, Kennaugh's closest rival in the GC over the last few days, Damiano Caruso, came in 54 seconds behind him
The 25-year-old Manxman now has a lead of more than a minute over Javier Moreno going into the final two stages.
His fellow Team Sky rider Bernhard Eisel said after the stage, "Pete is an absolutely complete rider and I don’t think that anyone can outdistance him at a time trial."
Tomorrow's penultimate stage is a 24km time trial, with Sunday's final stage being a relatively flat, 123km route which finishes in Vienna.
