Isle of Man cyclist Peter Kennaugh will attempt to win the British Madison Track Championship for a third time at the Manchester Velodrome this evening (Saturday), and make it four years in a row a Manx rider has made the top step.
In 2008 he won with Mark Cavendish, then teamed up with Mark Christian to defend his title the following year.
Last year, Christian won his second gold in the event with Luke Rowe.
Christian isn't attempting his own hat-trick as he is heading to Beijing for round three of the World Cup Track series next weekend, and this time it's Kennaugh's turn to ride with Rowe.
The race will take place ahead of the latest Revolution meeting at the venue.
