Klaus Klaffenbock and local man Dan Sayle completed a hat-trick of wins on the TT mountain circuit this afternoon (Saturday).
The pair, who won both sidecar races at TT 2010, led the Sure Sidecar Race 1 on time and on the road for most of the three laps, after overhauling John Holden and Andy Winkle, who started one place ahead of them.
In a closely fought battle, Klaffenbock and Sayle never pulled more than twelve seconds ahead of the LCR Suzuki mounted pairing.
The battle for third place was equally tight, with Conrad Harrison eventually overtaking former world champion Tim Reeves for the final podium spot.
After crossing the finish line, an ecstatic Klaffi spoke to Manx Radio TT's Chris Kinley (listen to audio file below):
Austrian Klaffenbock was world sidecar champion in 2001.
