David Knight returns to the World Enduro Championship next year with a new team, BMW Motorrad, says he's looking forward to the challenge and remains as determined as ever to succeed.
The double WEC and Grand National Cross Country Series winner will be joined by Finnish enduro legend Juha Salminen, himself a double GNCC and multiple WEC champion.
Salminen's countryman Marko Tarkkala completes the team's stellar lineup of new riders.
Knighter, who's spent the last five years with KTM, says, "Like any rider you have to truly believe in both your machinery and team to perform at your best, and I have absolute faith in BMW. It's an exciting time for everyone involved. Working with new people and developing and racing what will start out as a new bike to me is no small challenge. But I know that my commitment is matched by that of BMW."
WEC 2009 gets underway in Penafiel, Portugal on the weekend of March 21st/22nd.
