Late drama as St George's rally back to earn point

St George's 3-3 Corinthians

It was honours even at Glencrutchery Road this afternoon as St George's came from behind to draw with Corinthians and maintain their undefeated start to the season.

Stephen Whitley and Cameron Lee had given the visitors a 2-0 lead before Furo Davies halved the deficit.

Whites captain Sean Doyle restored his side's two-goal advantage but a strong second half performance saw Calum Morrissey give the hosts a lifeline with ten minutes remaining.

Davies then had a penalty saved after a handball on the line, before a Cameron Lee own goal levelled the match and sparked an on-field brawl.

A video of the incident has since surfaced and it's unclear whether the Isle of Man FA will issue any retrospective action following the late drama.

The result sees St George's drop to fourth; Corinthians remain sixth but are now seven points adrift of early leaders St Mary's.
