Pair win at Rowany

Paul Lowey and Shirley Price are Grant Thornton Isle of Man Golf Champions.

Large crowds watched the two rounds in perfect conditions at Rowany.

The Men’s contest saw a determined fight back on the second lap from Daryl Callister which forced the match into sudden death.

At one stage home favourite Paul Lowey was 6 up.

Lowey won on the first extra hole to win the title for the sixth time.

After years of just missing out, Shirley Price finally lifted the ladies trophy.

The Port St Mary player beat Lindsey Tickell 3 up with 2 to play.

Shirley always led but Lindsey kept in touch.
