
It's the final day of the 13th NatWest Island Games in Aland and, whatever happens, it will be one of the most successful for the Isle of Man, since the event began nearly quarter of a century ago.
At the end of the penultimate day of competition, the Manx team remained in second place in the table with 29 golds, 28 silver and 23 bronze medals.
Among today's events, the women’s basketball and football teams will be bidding for bronze medals, against Gibraltar and the Isle of Wight respectively.
The hero of the Manx squad has been gymnast Alex Hedges who continued his outstanding form yesterday with five more gold medals to take his tally to 12 golds and 14 medals overall.
