Second spot in men's event
Mark Cavendish and Peter Kennaugh have claimed second place overall in the men's race at the Six Day London track event.
The Manx duo went into the final day at the Lee Valley VeloPark in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park trailing Australia's Callum Scotson and Cameron Meyer by two laps and, despite a bold attack in the final race - the hour-long madison - couldn't haul back their rivals.
Cavendish said while they weren’t good enough to take the win, he was incredibly proud, telling reporters how he used to babysit Kennaugh!
'Now we're riding at the London Olympic Velodrome against the best track riders in the world and it's just been amazing,' Cavendish added.
