Manx Rally organisers 'inundated' with entries

Demand for places has 'far exceeded' expectations

More than 200 entries have been received for the 2024 Manx Rally.

Manx Auto Sport says it's been inundated with entries for the event, which takes place on the 10 and 11 May.

Organisers say they're working with championship co-ordinators to process all entries, but warn that with 202 entries for 140 places it is probable that not every entrant will be accommodated.

However, those who don't receive a place in the Manx Rally will be guaranteed a spot in the Chris Kelly Memorial Rally in September, or a full refund.

Event Director Mark Ellison said: "We were expecting a strong demand for entries, but this has far exceeded even our most ambitious expectations.

"We understand that people need to find out as quickly as possible if they have a place and we are working to do that."

The two-day rally will cover around 130 classic stage miles on closed roads, and forms part of five rally championships.
