Initiative aims to empower women to become leaders in sports and communities
A Manx woman has been chosen to be part of a scheme aiming to empower women to become leaders in sports and communities.
Louise Corkill will participate in the inaugural Commonwealth Women's Leadership Programme.
She's one of only 20 women across the Commonwealth selected to be involved.
The initiative is aiming to offer access to education and networking opportunities to give more women leading roles.
Louise has been the Sports Liaison Officer with Isle of Man Sport since July last year.
She's described it as a 'privilege' to be part of the Commonwealth programme, and is thanking the Commonwealth Games Association, Isle of Man Sport and Manx Sport & Recreation for their support.
