
Isle of Man cycling sensation Mark Cavendish is preparing to face the biggest sporting challenge of his short, and highly successful career.
The 22 year old, who has already enjoyed World Championship success on the track, is now just one day away from his first Tour de France, the biggest and toughest cyclist race on the planet.
Mark is a member of the German based T-Mobile team, and has been called up two years sooner than he expected to take part in the event, after proving himself the best sprinter in last year's Tour of Britain.
Isle of Man Newspapers' cycling correspondent, Richard Allen, was asked if Mark winning a stage was a real possibility (audio file attached):
