Marown back on top

Marown are back on top of CFS Division Two.

They thrashed Ronaldsway 8-1 to overtake previous leaders Ayre United who were held to a home draw by Braddan.

And with Douglas Royal winning 4-1 at Pulrose, the race for the title is very much a three-way affair.

Two goals apiece from Jeremy Lovett, Sam Black and James Sharp, plus one each from Kenny Maguire and Phil Jones, helped Marown to a comfortable victory.

Glenn Butterworth scored the Rockets’ consolation.

It was honours even at Andreas.

Jason Craine was on target at Ayre but James Ramsay earned Braddan a point.

Dave Skillen scored against his former club as Douglas Royal won impressively.

Dean Taylor, Craig Taylor and Ross McWhinnie grabbed the others with the Pulrose consolation scored by Chris Cowin.

A double from Kyle Lunn and one from James Collett ensured Colby won the southern derby, 3-0 at Malew, to stay fourth, while the points were shared at Onchan who hosted Foxdale - Rob Byrne and Jordan Mead the respective scorers in a 1-1 draw.

Vinnie Marcelo was the hero as Douglas and District secured their second win of the season.

He notched a hat-trick in a 5-3 win at the Police.

Richard Brant and Darren Armstrong scored the others on a good day for D&D.
