Plymouth rider says decision comes after 'much deliberation'
Manx Grand Prix competitor Sam Mousley has announced he's 'taking a break' from racing.
In an update on social media the rider from Plymouth says his decision comes after 'much deliberation' and he will be moving permanently to Spain.
He adds his 'whole life' has revolved around racing for the last eight years and that he regrets 'absolutely nothing' but 'after my very luck escape last year, the one small sensible part of me is saying I should at least take a break.'
More recently at the Manx Grand Prix, Mousley managed an 11th-place in the 2022 Senior MGP Race.
Last year he finished eighth in the Junior MGP contest before being involved in a crash on the final lap of the 2023 Senior MGP race whilst in the hunt for a top-ten finish, sustaining leg injuries in the process.
