The shocks continued at the Grant Thornton Isle of Man Golf Championships at Peel on Wednesday evening.

Leading gents qualifier Kevin Moore was beaten 3&2 by home favourite Lee Morgan.

Former Champion Paul Lowey won a tight contest with Chris Kneen by one hole.

Another past Champion Peter Glover was knocked out by Robert Braide by a 3&2 margin.

And Alex McAuley defeated Robert Noon 2&1 in the battle of the Mount Murray young guns.

In the Ladies quarter-finals, leading qualifier Shirley Price recorded a big 8&7 win over Lindsey Tickell.

Ramsey player Jane Gaines beat Catherine Cassidy 3&1 and Christina Skelly had a 5&4 win over Gail Corrin.

Defending Champ Breeshey Jansen is through to the semi-finals after a 4&3 victory over Dee Lewis.
