Five trophies decided on annual Judi Clark-Wilson Charity Day at NSC

The curtain came down on the latest Isle of Man Netball season last weekend with five trophies decided in one day at the NSC in Douglas.

The annual Judi Clark-Wilson Charity Cup day took place on Sunday, 26 April with seven of the Island's ten clubs represented during a busy day of action.

Among the contests which took place, the Shield Final provided a nail-biting finish with Castletown and Castletown 2 taking things to a sudden-death finish which the former went on to win by a dramatic 24-23 scoreline.

The battle was almost equally as close in the Plate Final as Misfits Young Farmers B managed to snatch a narrow 30-28 victory over Misfits Farmers A.

Elsewhere, Simcocks took the honours in the Men's Final with a 32-22 win over Route Balla whilst Route 1 Two emerged 38-22 victors over Ramsey 1 in the Vase Final.

The day was rounded out with the Cup Final which saw Simcocks Red storm to a 42-29 win over Balla 1.

Outside of the match results, individual player of the match awards were handed out to Sara Collister of Castletown; Kelly McMullin of Misfits Farmers A; Stephen Mulhern of Simcocks; Grace Burns of Route 1 and Becca Cooke of Simcocks Red.

Organisers are thanking volunteers and supporters for their contributions to the day itself, with Isle of Man Netball adding that the Judi Clark-Wilson Charity Day 'continues to serve as a fitting tribute, combining competitive netball with a strong sense of community and remembrance.'
