Company providing grants to help cover essential costs
A new initiative has been launched by an Island-based company to offer financial support to grassroots sports club.
The Manx Sports Boost, from Flutter International in Onchan, has launched grants of £500 or £1,000 which could help with covering essential running costs.
Sue Hammett says the scheme, which has already been rolled out in the UK, is designed to assist organisations which may not have the backing or publicity that others do.
She believes grassroots clubs are 'the very fabric' of local communities:
People interested in applying for a grant from the scheme can request an application form by contacting communityinvestment@flutter.com
The closing date for applications is 31 August 2024.
