No surprises in cup hockey

There were no shocks in the cup on Saturday.

Falcons continued their blistering start to the season by thrashing Phoenix A 10-0 – helped by trebles from Juan Corlett and Karen Faragher.

There were also double hat-tricks for Ollie Webster and Sarah Breen as Ramsey A cruised to a 7-0 victory over Saracens – Karmina Kavanda grabbed the other.

Will Wood was another hat-trick star as Bacchas B saw off Valkyrs C 5-0, while Ali Hurd hit four as Harlequins beat Ramsey Rookies 6-0.

Valkyrs B edged a five goal contest against Saxons, courtesy of Jonah Hull (two) and Mark Moyer strikes.

Delta Williams and Simon Foster found the net for Quins.

The other game went the way of Bacchas D who saw off Ramsey Ravens 3-1 on penalty flicks.

In the Tuftex Trophy, Cammgas defeated the Bacchas Academy 3-0 and Kestrels were 4-1 winners over Vandals, thanks to doubles from Adam Braidwood and John Bateson.

Dani Jacobs scored the Vandals consolation.
