
A Mark Young penalty with the very last kick of the game clinched PDMS Southern Nomads the Manx Shield as they beat Douglas B 13-10 in the winner takes all play-off at Mooragh Park.
Ally Kelly and Rob Keelan both crossed for first half tries as Nomads raced into a 10-0 lead.
Douglas hit back with an Adam Howarth penalty to leave them trailing 10-3 at half-time.
In the second half, Tom Chamberlain crossed for a Douglas try and, when Howarth converted, the scores were level.
With extra time looming, Nomads earned a penalty in the 80th minute.
Young, just back on the pitch from injury, missed his shot but referee Tony Heggs ordered it to be retaken when Douglas charged and Young made no mistake with his second attempt to spark wild celebrations.
