Onchan defeat leaders

Marown’s 100 per cent record and unbeaten run is over in JCK Division Two.

After 14 straight wins, the leaders were beaten 2-1 at home by promotion chasing Onchan.

Rob Byrne and Jay Polland scored the goals at Crosby to seal a fine victory.

The prolific Juan Killip pulled one back for the hosts but it was Onchan’s day.

Union Mills closed the gap with a 3-1 home win over Foxdale.

They had to overturn a half-time deficit with Willie Woods opening the scoring inside the first minute.

However, the Millers hit back after the break Matty Cain (two) and Chris Kelly maintaining their promotion push.

Douglas Royal ran out 4-1 winners at Douglas and District with Gavin Gawne (two), Andrew Lancaster and Billy McBurnie grabbing their goals.

Michael fought back to win a five goal thriller at the Police.

The home side led 2-0 through Ricky McCann and David McDaid but Michael hit back to win, courtesy of Dean Wales and two goals in the last 20 minutes from Matthew Brand.

Second half goals from Richard Corke and Steven Leece continued Colby’s return to form with a 2-1 home win over Braddan, who scored through Geoff Murphy.

Malew won the southern derby 3-2 at Ronaldsway with Ben Gregson, Richard Batty and Adam Drewitt on target.

Liam Crawley scored both for the Rockets.
