The new owner of the golf course at Castletown is giving members of the club a lot to be cheerful about as they head towards the new year.
Among other things, Phil Vermeulen says he will 'save where he can, but invest where he must' to put the links back in the top 50 courses in the British Isles.
Mr Vermeulen, who lives locally and is a member of the club, spoke to members at a packed annual general meeting.
