Peel and Valkyres to meet in final of Standard Bank Blincoe Cup.

Two exciting semi-finals have set-up what looks likely to be a thrilling final to the Standard Bank Blincoe Cup.

Loaghtyn Rams made 131 for 7 against Peel with Richard Foden top scoring on 41.

Peel's Daniel Dickinson made 68 in reply to help take his club to 153. A second innings total of 125 set the Rams a target of 148.

Rams batted well and needed only a handful of runs from the last four overs, but Miller took three wickets for eight runs. Dickinson bowled the final over and with the last ball of the game and the scores tied, he dismissed the last batsman. As the away club, a triumphant Peel took the game.

Meanwhile Valkyres put up a first innings score of 185, Adnan Khan cracked a splendid 83.

Vagabonds came back strongly and Ryan Windell struck 100 not out. Ryan shone again in the second innings with 43, but the Rugby men were out for 115.

This left Valkyres needing just 84 to win.

John Pulman took three wickets for Vagas and Graham Healy two and the southern side were in trouble. Darrel Cain hit 19, but in the last over Valkyres were 82 for 9 needing two runs to win. In mounting tension Furrukh Safed hit a four to win the match and line up a meeting in the Final with Peel.
