Perfect Paul shines in Santon

Mihailovits in fine form

Paul Mihailovits was in fine form as he clinched the second round of the Colin Bowen Memorial English Skeet league at Meary Veg.

He hit three perfect 25 straights to win both the 50 and 100 competitions, finishing on 99 out of 100.

Stan Cross hit an impressive 49 while there was a four-way tie for third place with John Moore, Juan Cowley, Rachael Bowen Matthews and Mike Walker on 47.

Giulio Fabrizio also scored 47 as he won B class by five points from Madeleine Simpson, Peter Kelly and junior shooter Arran Wade, all on 42.

Rob Marshall took C class on 41 from George Noble on 35.

Sixteen shooters carried on to complete 100 targets with Cross again second on 97 and Fabrizio on 96, but it was Mihailovits’ day (99).

Next week is the second rounds of the Tower Insurance DTL league in the morning and the second rounds of the Sadler Agricultural Supplies ABT and Manx Petroleum’s Olympic skeet leagues in the afternoon.
