
Onchan cyclist Peter Kennaugh has been named as one of the Team Sky squad, his first professional contract.
It's being managed by British Cycling's Performance Director David Brailsford, who has singled out the 20-year-old Manxman as an outstanding prospect.
Brailsford has masterminded Team GB's domination of track cycling over the last few years and the aim of Team Sky is to repeat that success on the roads, including producing a British winner of the Tour de France in five years.
Peter will line up with, among others, Olympic gold medallist Geraint Thomas, with more riders set to be announced in the coming weeks.
