Quirk strikes late at Croit Lowey

A late goal from John Quirk moved Old Boys up to second place in the Canada Life Premier League.

He hit the only goal of the game at Croit Lowey as Colin Purvis’ team leapfrogged Rushen in the table.

St Mary’s turned on the style to thrash St John’s 4-0 at the Bowl.

Goals from Steven Priestnal (two), Dominic McCreevey and Tom Weir consolidated fifth spot for the Saints.

The only other top-flight game to survive the weather saw Corinthians edge out Ramsey 3-2 at Ballafletcher.

Chris Druggan, direct from a corner, and Kris Halsall were on target for the northerners.
