Ramsey suffer title setback

There was disappointment for title chasing Ramsey A on Saturday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Falcons to damage their championship hopes.

Keith Corkill and Sam Corkill were Ramsey’s scorers but Paul Kelly and Andy Harding ensured Falcons a share of the spoils.

Reigning champions Valkyrs A kept alive their outside hopes of retaining the Mixed Division One crown.

They demolished Phoenix A 8-0 with Gareth Morris hitting four and two other regular scorers, Chris Caldwell and Andrea Kneen, each grabbing a brace.

In the other top-flight game, Celts edged out basement battlers Valkyrs B 3-2.
