
Castletown resident Jonathan Rea ended the World Superbike season by finishing second in Sunday's round at Magny-Cours in France.
Northern Ireland rider Rea, who has recently deputised for injured world champion Casey Stoner in MotoGP, was 13th in the opener but secured a podium finish behind Tom Sykes in the second race.
Rea finished fifth in the series to ensure he held onto fifth overall in the championship standings.
The title was won by Max Biaggi by just half a point fromTom Sykes.
