Club progressing with plans at both junior and senior level
Douglas Rugby Club says it's 'ambitious' in promoting the sport further as the new season fast approaches.
The club's pre-season preparations are well underway with plans to reintroduce a second team for the new campaign alongside the first team's commitments in the Regional 2 North West.
Head Coach Phil Cringle recognises the sport here and elsewhere is facing challenges with recruitment.
But he and Douglas' new Rugby Development Officer Harry Cartwright explain there are different ways in which they're trying to improve this at both junior and senior level:
Hockey: Two wins for travelling junior sides
Rugby: Vagabonds ladies stay with Island based sponsor
Athletics: Christa Cain second in Athens 10km
Taekwondo: Three golds for Isle of Man competitor at British Championships
