Runs racked up as Castletown beat Ramsey

 

In the Standard Bank Premiership on Saturday over 500 runs were scored in the game between Ramsey and Castletown.

Batting first, Ramsey made 251 with Shaun Kelly hitting a massive 156, which included 20 fours and seven sixes.

Richard Jackson took 4 for 27 and Garreth Roome had 2 for 35.

In reply the Town chased the runs and reached their target for the loss of three wickets.

Christian Steriopulos cracked an excellent 88 not out and John Short made 45.

 

At Tromode Valkyres and Crosby battled out a tie, both sides being dismissed for 146.

Ryan Windell hit 34 for Valkyres and Jack Rowlands had 36 for Crosby.
