Rushen secure Railway Cup berth

Rushen United sealed their place in the Railway Cup semi-finals with something to spare on Saturday.

A 4-1 victory at battling Marown booked their berth with Alex Guy, Matty Cain, Jack Saxon and an own goal sealing their victory and keeping them third in the table.

Kevin Druggan netted for the home side.

It’s a three way battle for the final spot with Old Boys, Corinthians and Laxey all in contention.

Old Boys went on the rampage with a 9-2 win at Ayre.

Darren Hudgeon led the way with a hat-trick.

Gary Quirk added a double and there were solitary goals from Chris Coxon, Karl Clark, Callum Stewart and Josh Thomas.

Sean Kelly was on target with a double, one from the penalty spot, for the Tangerines.

Corinthians hit five past Union Mills – Sean Doyle (two), Ryan Gartland, Danny Oram and Phil Kelly the marksmen in a 5-1 win at Garey Mooar.

Kyle Uren provided the home side’s consolation.

Reigning champions St George’s stay clear on goal difference after a 5-0 success at Ramsey.

Ciaran McNulty (two), Ryan Kelly, Chris Bass, plus an own goal, clinched the points.

A first half Daniel Bell goal broke the deadlock before Lee Gale and Josh Kelly sealed the points.
