Shooting: Corkill leads the way in winter series third round

Van de Berg takes class and high gun victories at Meary Veg

The third round of the UTOPIA HAIR SALON Winter series English skeet league was held at Meary Veg Santon in dull, damp and extremely windy conditions.

The leader after the first round was B class shooter Dave Corlett with a 21; in second place on 20 was C class, Cobus Van de Berg with Giulio Fabrizio in third place on 18.

After a short break the second round was completed, and we had John Moore in third place in A class with 30 points; Brian Faragher in second place on 31 and winning A class with 35 points was Jeff Corkill. 

Dave Corlett and Mark Hepworth tied for first place in B class on with 38 points with Giulio Fabrizio taking third place on 35.  

In C class, Les Devlin was third on 30 with Sue Doyle taking second place on 32, but winning C class and also taking the high gun on the day was Cobus Van de Berg with 39 points.

A Class - 1st J Corkill 17,18=35, 2nd B Faragher 14,17=31, 3rd J Moore 15,15=30

B Class - =1st D Corlett 21,17, M Hepworth 17, 21=38, 3^rd G Fabrizio 18,17=35

C Class - 1st C V Berg 20,19=39, 2nd S Doyle 15,17=32, 3rd L Devlin 15,15=30
