Shooting: Walker, Bellhouse and Faragher take top spots

Two share honours for high gun in winter series second round

The second round of the CU PLAS Winter series DTL league was held at Meary Veg Santon in near ideal conditions.

The leader after the first round was junior shooter Zac Bellhouse with a 24/70 score; in second place, also with a 24, was John Moore but with 69 points followed by Peter Kelly and Mike Whitehead in equal third place with 23/68.

After a short break the second round got under way and at the end we had the following results - In third place in C Class wasLyn MacLeod with 43/123; in second place with 44/128 was Mike Whitehead but taking C Class by storm was junior shooter, Joe Fragher with 47/141 with Joe having a perfect score of 25/75 in his second round. 

Cobus Van De Berg was third in B Class on 44/128 with Brian Faragher in second place on 47/136 and taking B Class with 47/138 was Zac Bellhouse. 

Peter Kelly was third in A Class with 44/130 with John Moore in second place on 45/131, but taking A class with 141/48 was Mike Walker which was also equal high gun on the day with Joe Faragher.

Results

A Class 1^st M Walker 23/67,25/74=48/141, 2^nd J Moore 24/69,21/62=44/131, 3rd P Kelly 23/68/21/62=44/130.

B Class 1^st Z Bellhouse jnr 24/70,23/68=47/138, 2^nd B Faragher 23/65,24/71=47/136, 3rd C Van de berg 20/60,24/68=44/128,

C Class 1^st J Faragher jnr 22/66,25/75=47/141, 2nd M Whitehead 23/68,212/62=44/128, 3rd L Macleod 20/56,23/67=43/123.
