Shooting: Ward takes top prize in second DTL league round

A-Class competitor also scoops high gun accolade at Meary Veg

The second round of the Tower Insurance DTL league was held at Meary Veg Santon with 15 competitors taking part in near ideal conditions.

The leader after the first round was Peter Kelly with a perfect 25/75 straight ,in second place on 23/69 were Mike Walker, Ted Kermeen and Phil Ward followed by C class Calum Craine with 24/67.

At the end of the second round in C class we had George Davies and Willy McLeod in equal second place on 46/130 but taking C class with 49/138 was Calum Craine. 

Mark Riley was second in B class on 44/125 with junior Zac Bellhouse taking B class with 45/126. 

Mike Walker finished in third place in A class on 47/137 with first round leader Peter Kelly taking second place on 47/139, but top of the class with 48/143 was Phil Ward who also won the Ian Faragher High gun cup.
