Smilyanov decides big game

Onchan won the big game in JCK Division Two on Saturday.

A second half goal from Bulgarian Brago Smilyanov was enough to defeat Douglas Royal 1-0 and keep them third in the table.

Royal finished the match with nine men.

Second placed Union Mills hit Pulrose for nine at Garey Mooar.

Doubles from Steven Quine and AJ Suckling helped them on their way to a 9-1 win.

Matty Cain, Dave Hicks, Chris Kelly, Carl Dobbin and Kenny Maggee netted the others.

Craig Cowin notched the Pulrose consolation.

Second half goals from Juan Killip and Michael McHale ensured leaders Marown maintained their 100 per cent record.

They were pushed all the way though before emerging 2-1 winners over Braddan, who replied through youngster Johnny Padi.

Improving Michael won 3-1 at Ronaldsway, whose goal was scored by Dwayne Dawson, while Colby and Foxdale drew 1-1 at Glen Road.

Liam Leece scored for the westerners.

Douglas and District and Malew shared four goals.

Jamie Corrin and Richard Brant scored for D&D with John Mitchell getting both for Malew.
