Sport back from deep freeze

After four weeks off due to the festive season and the big freeze.....Football, Hockey and Rugby should make a return on Saturday.

It's the F.A. Cup preliminary round for Football with perhaps the visit of runaway Division Two leaders St. John's to Premier League strugglers Douglas Royal the pick of the ties.

A reminder that all cup matches kick-off at 1.15pm to allow for the possibility of extra-time and penalties.

The Railway Cup Final between holders Peel and Premier League toppers St. George's is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Ballacloan Stadium in Ramsey.

In Rugby - Vagabonds, Douglas and Ramsey return to South Lancashire and Cheshire League action.

Vagas travel to Oswestry in Division One while Douglas and Ramsey host Oldershaw and Moore respectively in Division Two.

Rearranged fixtures in the Mens and Ladies Hockey League take place domestically while Vikings Women are away to Penrith in the English Hockey Association Vase competition.

And a large party of Manx Harriers are at the Lancashire Cross-Country Championships at Witton Park in Blackburn.
