Crowds brave wind for annual Manx Viking Wheelers event
Crowds gathered in the north of the Island yesterday (29 Dec) to cheer on the sixty cyclists battling windy conditions in the annual World Hamper Race.
Professional English cyclist Ben Swift took the win in the annual 25-mile handicap race, finishing in 1 hour 6 minutes.
Irish rider Ryan Mullen took second, with Chris Lawless coming in third.
Home favourite, Mark Cavendish, finished in twelfth place.
