The Northern Ireland TAS team is distancing itself from an article on the MCN website suggesting they are switching from Suzuki to BMW.
It said the move would leave 11-time T.T. winner Michael Dunlop out in the cold as TAS had Guy Martin and William Dunlop as their riders for 2014.
Manx Radio has contacted TAS Team Manager Philip Neal who describes the story as "pure speculation".
However, a BBC Northern Ireland report confirms that Michael Dunlop has lost his ride with BMW and quotes him as saying ""I have 11 TT trophies on my mantelpiece and only three were won on a BMW, so I plan to be back with another manufacturer.
"I will wait and see what happens, but I can assure you I will be back to win lots more TTs and North West 200s next season and beyond."
It also states Michael Dunlop will now not compete at next month's Macau Grand Prix.
