
The Isle of Man Squash teams have enjoyed some limited success at the 7th European Nations Challenge Cup in Poland.
The Women's team of Laura Smith, Vicky Watterson and Lucy Hamilton-Turner lost there opening match to Malta, who went on to win the title. They also lost 3-0 to Estonia in the group stages.
However, they beat Ukraine 2-1 to set-up a fifth/sixth place play-off against Latvia.
Smith lost a very closely contested first game 10-12 on her way to a straight sets defeat. Watterson only narrowly lost her third game 9-11 on her way to a 3-1 win.
Hamilton-Turner then secured fifth place overall for the Isle of Man with a straight sets win.
In the Men's competition, the Manx lost both matches 2-1 to Ukraine and Gibraltar. Dave Norman was the man in form with two hard fought victories.
