Barbara Wood passed away this week
Southern 100 Racing is paying tribute to someone who it describes as, 'one of the most popular and well-known faces around the Billown course'.
It says Barbara Wood, who died on Tuesday this week, will be sorely missed.
Barbara - along with her husband, Jim - was a fixture at the 'Friendly Races' for many years, with their knowledge and enthusiasm for it being described as 'second to none'.
The family's links with the race meeting are strong; her son, Barry, competed there for 20 years from 1988, winning ten races.
Southern 100 Racing says it extends it sincere condolences to Jim, Barry, and all family members and close friends at this sad time.
